Hello...
Ok...I was happy when I wrote the previous thing...but now I feel crap. We have chemistry tests every week...And the last two was ok...not impossible....but I think I failed the last one though...but this time It´s sick....we will be tested on pretty much everything from high school and more. And nobody remembers theese things! Our teachers takes for granted that everybody allready knows everything...we are suppose to know all formulas by heart,all structures of all sugars,fats blabla....Theese test are for qualifying for the big exam....So we´ll se what happens. Everybody will fail except for maybe a couple of people I think. It has been impossible to study chemistry sice´we´ve had test every day this week....and the anatomy is beginning to get complicated to....we study every hour we are awake...can´t do anything else...but still we feel like retards. It´s sick. So today I tried to learn 1 year worth of chemistry in 4 hours...no great success!
Just when I felt that things were going my way ,passing the anatomytest and so on...everything just turns around ....Now...I´m truely fucked! But everybody is...so there must be a way. I will do my best, and that´s all I can do.
So this weekend will be dedicated to studying..haha! I´m looking forward to two whole days without tests...
Oh ,right. We are dissecting a man in anatomy-class now. It´s really cool! We were cutting and palpating differend structures today...cool. After class I voluntared to help carrying him back to the pool with formaline In which the cadavers lie between classes. That was interesting....we had to carry him and drop him in there....I got a hold of his head while the others took his arms and legs...and he´s heavy! With all the perservatives in his systems he weighs like 120 kg...We were scared to drop him in there to quickly....If we would have done that ,corp-fluid would had splashed up on us...urk! But it went ok...I got some hair on my gloves....:)

Dzien dobry!
I am a "happy camper" today....Yesterday I passed my first test in anatomy...it´s the first out of four....and in the end we will be tested on all four parts:) I was very supriced when we got the results since only 15 out of 55 passed...so I´m very proud. But I can´t relax just yet..I still have 3 chemistry tests left and a number of other things...so I still have to study every day. But I am getting use to it. So now I am sitting in a café, drinking a latte and surfing the internet. After this I´m going to the library to study....The anatomytest was on bones,ligaments and joints of the body...everything...so now (thursday) we will star studying muscles I think. That will be a bitch!
I have a few pictures to post...but I´ll do it later on....Starting to look forward to christmas...I will fly home the 22nd of december...and back the 3rd...Everything is good...but I have forgotten the feeling of sleeping for as long as I please...I will do alot of that when I get home...the partying frequence has dropped to...no free time in the weekends. But I will make up for that to when I get home.

Starting to get rough...
Hello.
So...now I haven´t posted anything for a while...That is because we STILL do not have internet access...but we will call the internet company on monday...so hopefully it´ll work out. But what has happened since the lats time I wrote something...?hmm...We have been studying for our first anatomy exam. It is the first of four test that we need to pass in order to even take the final exam...It concists of a practical part and a written part. So the pressure is on. The last part before the test is the bones, ligaments,foramina and some nerves and arteries of the skull. This is the worse part so far....I never thought there would be so many parts of the human head. But hopefully it´ll work out fine. Chemistry classes will start soon...and that will be a bitch...hmmm...Oh! One cool thing is that we "played" with human heads in our last anatomy-class....it was very interesting and not att all as scary as you might think. We really got shopped of heads with brains,hair,eyes and so on...rather cool. So wer´re spending alot of time in our apartement at the moment...Studying nothing but anatomy.....but on the other hand the other subjects are rather easy and with less importance. They are only credit courses (pass or fail). So I´m not workingout as much as I did before...2-3 times a week tops...so that sucks a bit...and I haven´t been out clubbing for two weeks now:(....but we might go out tomorrow night....hopefully. Two weeks ago we had a preparty here in our apartement....it was great...we somket our water-pipe in our "lounge" and after that we went out. I´m really looking forward to my trip home in decdember. I fly from here dec the 21st and return the 3rd of january. So I will spend christmas and newyear at home...nice...So invite me to some cind of party on newyears eve:) Everything is fine and I´ll see you in december....

This is like one view of the skull..when you turn it around its a whole different thing...and on the side...and after that you subdevide the whole thing in 22 pieces and add even more names...and off cause toy should know how they are put together,which berveres and so on which goes through the different holes...and so on....And this is just a small part of our first exam...haha! We have the whole skeleton with joints,lifaments.....and off cause we hace to remember this for our final exam in may...:)

Hello!
So...I just wanted to say hello:) Have´nt written anything for a while....Yesterday we were out clubing again....it was ok....we really have to think about the next day now since we´ve got tons of studying to do....Huuuu..the anatomy:( Ok...I took some pictures of the apartement today...they cind of suck...but you can clearly see the differance....The place is cind of messy now since Hannah has to sleep on a madrass between mine and casper´s bed....the reason is that Ebba has some "male company":) So we put hannahs and ebbas beds together to form a double bed for them.....lucky bastards! So this weekend will be dedicated (what is left of the weekend) to studies....lots of things to do. But it´s rather interesting...at least the anatomy is...Hmmm...what to say more...we tought hannah to play guitar today..she is a very fast learner and now she refuses to shut up:) Everything is good....hopefully we will get a decent internet access soon.

I have moved into the apartement!
Hello.
The day before yesterday I moved in to our new apartement. There has been a lot of things to do....but now we´re as good as done...Yesterday was suppose to be "sensation white"-day....but we did´nt have the time to party since we wanted to get done with the apartement-stuff...So we spent the whole day doing that....First we went to IKEA and bought som furniture ect...the apartement was fully furnitured when we arrived...but we have thrown most of it out....So now the place looks completely different....I almost feel a little bit guilty being a student and living like this! The place is extremely nice! The pictures I posted before are no longer close to accurate...this is now almost a luxury-apartement....haha...I cant find other words....I like it. So now I am chilling in our "chilling room"...:) a huge sofa with tons of pillows.....I will take some pictures later....The only problem is the internet access...we have a wireless acces from the university (thats how close to campus we live)...but only in half the apartement...so we have to go out here to surf....and that sucks! So we will solve that problem soon I think...Today we have studied anatomy for 5 or 6 hurs or something...and still....a lot more to learn...We will be killed by the professor tomorrow..Damn we have to study alot here! And we have´nt even started with the chemistry yet....It starts on friday...and in between we have psychology,medical computer lectures,history of medicine,polish and latin. It´s sick! Tomorrow I think we will make our own speciements by boiling an arm or something...quite looking forward to it...cool. So if anyone wonders why I´m not online during the week it´s because of the internet access. Ok....now I´m going to sleep...school until 6 pm tomorrow...starts at 8 am....and after ....lots of anatomy studying.....

Apartement
Hello...jak sie masz?!
Yesterday I visited my new apartement for the first time....that´s right...I´ve got an apartement! The standard was way higher than I expected....it was´great! We payed a deposition and the first months rent....The apartement is full of furniture that we don´t want/need...so we will throw some away and buy some new stuff....keeping in mind that we are students we hope not to spend to much though....I took some pictures with my cellphone...they do not make fair impression of the absolute beauty of this apartement...but you will get an idea....In comparancy to my last apartement in malmo, this one is actually better....it´s sick but even though we are in poland an apartement like this is avalible....I could never guess.
Oh...we are going to live four people in this...ebba,hannah,casper and me. Me and casper will sleep in the big room while ebba and hannah will get their own bedroom...the remaining bedroom will proberbly be made into a walk-in closet, we are not sure yet. I will move in on saturday since I´ve got some studying to do...and tomorrow (friday) is the ceremony when we will be "dubed" and swear an oath...haha! The rector will be there in his "king of hearts" outfit...the dean and other important persons...we have to wear formal clothes...whih means suit and tie...It´ll be fun...we will skip chemistry...so now I´ve got another week to prepare for it...nice! First day in school
Dzien dobry!
Today the academic year began...We had our first real classes and lectures. Today we had computer lectures,anatomy lecture,anatomy class(practical training). Tomorrow we will have psycholigy, history of medicine and polish language. Not so bad....Our schedule is rasther good ....of cause some days are heavier than others, but overall good. Today I came home at 18:30...so that cind of sucks...but I did have time to rest between classes today.
So...We began with a lecture in anatomy....lecture is when the proffessor talks and we listen...He did ask one question though...haha...a classmate had a hard time staying awake...so he got to answear a question...he answeared correctly though...In the anatomy-classes we are divided into smaller groups and gets to look at the bodyparts we are learning about. today it was the spinal cord with the vertebraes (swe:ryggkotor). They are rather complex actually...more so than I expected. So we looked at some vertebraes and cind of learned the different parts and how they connect to each other,the ribs and sternum. Next time we´ll talk about joints I believe...and next time we are suppose to know all the parts of the spinal cord and so on...So now I will do some studying of anatomy...and if there is time I will do some chemistry too...it starts on friday and we are expected to know quite a lot....In about 3-4 weeks we will be done with the whole skeleton...and then we´ll start recieving bodyparts...nice. That will be very interesting...the dissection room is rather cool. Actually the whole anatomy-building is rather cool....much nicer than the other buildnings of the university campus...inside there are huge paintings of dissection and statues and pictures of old proffessors. Haha...we had our anatomy-class around a table which you put dead bodys on...I washed my hands afterwards...for some reason the windows were open when we arrived...hmm...I wonder why:) Everybody must wear a white laboratory robe in the anatomy classes...so we looked cind of cool when we entered the dissection room...everything around us was white,we were white and the proffessors were white....very cool. Almost like the sensation white-party I will attend soon:) That is roing to be rad! Like I said before...now I have to do some studying....believe me...you don´t want to fall behind...cause the teachers will notice and they will make your life much harder...so I want to and will be prepaired for every class. The robe....
Dzien dobry, Jak sie masz?Yesterday we were out partying again.....First we went to a place called Paparazzi, a nice pub...after that Maniana which is a latino-club and finally we went to Datona (club). It was a great eavning with lots of beers:) The picture is from Datona....
So I have spent the whole day feeling sorry for myself....but I managed to travel to a medical store through....I bought a laboratory-robe...it´s impossible not to look sexy in it!:) I had to buy some latex-gloves to...so now I´m fully equiped:) We had lunch in a shopping-mall....a huge steak with three different sauses...french fries a a huge orangejuice...nice! Expensive...but I needed that today. So now I think I will do some serious chilling....a white wekend for me...I think it´s time to start preparing for chemistry and anatomy....just have a quick look in the books so that I know what they are talking about on monday. The professors speaks poor english as I have mentioned before....Actually looking forward to monday´s classes...The anatomy professor is very strict I have heard...so I´m a litle bit worried about that...but it´ll be fine:)

Kracow
Jak sie masz!
I have spent my weekend in Kracow....so I´m going to write something abot that:)
The buss picked us upp at 7 am and drove us for three hours to Kracow on the bumpy polish roads. I must say that Kracow is a much nicer city than Wroclaw....the houses are i9n better shape and there are a nice atmosphare....We began with a guided tour (lots of churches)...after that we had dinner in a restaurant (all of us) ,rather tasteless.....But after freshing up in our hotelroom we hit the town....We went to a bar called Paparazzi first where we drank beer...after that we went to a club called franco (or something like that)....that was a great club....Clubs here in Poland are better than the ones I´m use to back home....We were woken up around 10 am after ust a couple of hours of sleep to find that we were late....everybody were allready outside...we did´nt get that information. So we went on yet another guided tour smelling like the club we attended the night before:) After that we had some time on our own....we ate pizza and fell asleep on a lawn....3 hours in the buss home and now I have got a good sleep. Oh...almost forgot....we visited a synagog...haha...all men had to wear a jewish hat (do not know the name). We looked rather funny...the pictures are from my cellphone....of caurse there are more pictures ,but I have´nt bathered to collect them from everybody.

Today has been a very nice day....after bilogy-class I went to the gym and worked out...nice. After that I fell asleep for tree hours on my "bed"(more like a table). When I woke up I felt quite fucked up. But the reason why I´m posting this message is that I want to tell you that I will go to the "sensation white"- party in october. Aparently (spelling?) whis "party" is really cool....everybody is dressed in white and there are thousands of people...It´ll be sick...thinking about ordering tickets tomorrow....I had fierce teacher the other day....damn....head of the biology departement....We sat there and tried to hide for three hours strait...but what we did´nt know was that she could smell fair...so of cause I had to go up to the black board and solve a problem which she knew I could´nt (thats why she put me in that situation). But we were all "killed"...thats her way of teaching. Afterwards she told her colegue (in polish) that we were stupid:) So it´ll be interesting having her as a teacher in Biology which is one of the two most difficult subjects the first year.....So I am shivering...and will continue doing so until I pass the exams or get sent home as many others before me. But I am still positive...if I manage to pull through this first year I know I will become a great doctor.

Bananaflies
Ok...my room smells,looks and feels(?) like shit! We live two persons in a 19 square meter room...so you can only amagine what it looks like after a while. I have given up at this point...it´s not worth the trouble cleaning up after me....cause ten minutes later it will look the same. I just discovered that we have about 1000 bananaflies in our trash-bin. I got goosebumbs...it´s discusting! I want to move out of here as soon as possible...fortunately we may be able top land an apartement soon. Let´s hold our fingers crossed (and toes)! So...it´s 24 degrees outside and I started with the biology-calsses today. It was all right......we´re going to have a very feared teacher in a couple of days...I´m not looking forward to it...but I´ll proberbly live....I think:(

Golnaz birthday
Hello again!
Yesterday we were out partying again...this was the third day of party in a row. And next weekend were going to Kracow to party some more:) We visited a new club (new to us) which was great...very crowded and nice in every way. So this morning I was sleeping very heavely when ebba and hanna woke me up to go sing for Golnaz (it was her birthday today). After eating cake and playing happy birthday on the guitar I fell asleep again and woke up around 5 p.m.....nice. We took a taxi to the center and ate at a restaurant in which the chief was swedish...he had overheard us talking the day before at pizza hut and told us that we could order meatballs and applecake at his restaurant. But we ordered oxefillet...the restaurant was great and the food even better...the apple cake witch vanilla sauce for dessert was increadibly tasty. So now I am terribly filled up and looking forward to sleep. A nice day today....

Nights on the town in Wroclaw
Hello...was out partying last night. Theese pictures are from the previous weekend....anyway. The clubs are great...and of cause very cheep....entrance is about 25 kr....The center of Wroclaw is the place to be at night...there are´nt anything else really...but in the center we have found som great places. I´ve just got up, taken a shower and now I´m heading to a shopping-mall...Some brunch would really hit the spot right now............oh...the people in the pictures are Casper (from Falsterbo), Golnaz (Stockholm) and Ebbs& Hanna (Göteborg).....haha...We bought roses before we went in to a club...people looked funny at us....:)

Gym
Hello...Today I visited the gym for the first time. It is located about 20 meters from the main entrance. So there is no excuse not to go....The "caretaker" which lets us in (for free since were students) is a bit annoying from time to time it seemes. He can decide that you aren´t welcome one day even if there are people in the gym...and the next day you get in. But the problem with that lies mostly in the fact that we are unable to proove that we are students...in october we will recieve a studen card. Dien´ dobry!
Whazzzuuuuuuuup?!
I feel much better today...Tomorrow I will be as good as new. Been to chemistry and polish-classes today. Jiha! Just wanted to say that the sun is shining for the first time since I arrived...great success! Some guy showed me a webpage yeserday night from the medical university of Wisconsin....it was a couple of clips from an educational dvd in anatomi. They dissekted cadavers! That will be rather interesting...but I won´t be doing that any time soon I think....but at some point during my first year I believe....if I manage to stick around:) I really have to practice my polish skills now...right now I truely suck at Polish...so I figured it would be a good idea to do some reading in that area. Chemistry is rather easy in the pre-courses...so I´ll just do a fast readthrough and I´ll be fine. Can´t wait until october actually, when we will start doing some REAL studying.

Chemistry
Hello again.
So, it´s a new week of the pre-courses. Topic...chemistry and polish. Poloish is still hard...but I´ve got 2 years to learn it...so hopefully it´ll work out fine. But chemistry......it seemes like we will get more things to do our selves ....opposite from physics. But still....it´s rather basic stuff...so I´m not drained in homework.....I´m still ill....my cold just won´t give in....My throat feels a little bit better than yesterday though, which is good. Maybe it´ll be fine tomorrow. Can´t wait until I´m well so I can beging working out again:)

Pizza!
Hello again.
I did´nt have the energy to make dinner today since I have been cleaning my room....So I ordered a pizza to my room. 10 zloti! That´s 25 kronor! Home delivery pizza for 25 spänn! Haha! And I must say that it was delicious! Nothing wrong with it....the place I ordered from delivers pasta-dishes to....maybe I´ll try one of them tomorrow:)

The first week...some thoughts
Hello.
Well this first week has been rather confusing I must say. Suddenly I´m in a different country where nothing is anywhere close to Sweden. The standard of living is much lower, the food is bad (even in the stores) and the people are strange:) Don´t get me wrong..It´s ok...but It´s a huge differance.
Now I attend the so called "pre-courses". So I am not an official student of Wroclaw Medical University. But I am guaranteed a place at the university. The official semester starts the first of october. I attend physics and polish classes this week....nex week It´ll be chemistry and polish and the week after that biology and polish and the last week this month will be dedicated to only polish. The pre-courses suck I must say. You just sit down in a chair while some professor with a beard talks for 3 hours straight. And you don´t really learn anything since he only scratches the surface of the problems. This week we have been "tought" one year worth of highschool physics. When we talk to second-year students they say that theese pre-courses are compleatly useless. Some people even skip theese and arrives in october! There are no exams nore any tasks or ways to practice....so everything seemes pointless really...
Ok...so everything began with me and my parents driving from Sweden to Poland. Thanks to the gps-reciever we managed to find the dorm on the first try. That wouldn´t be possible with a map I tell you...others tried:D I arrived on a thurstay but stayed in a hotel with my parents until friday. I thought that I would have my own room, but I was terribly disapointed. So now I live in a 20 square-meter room with a "room mate". It´s very claustrofobic. Hopefully I will get my own room in october (that´s what they said). And if I´m lucky I might move to a five-room appartement in a couple of months...but that´s only an idea at this stage...we´ll see.
The town is (as you can see in the posted pictures) very dirty and "broken":) There is a lot of construction everywhere (must be the money from EU:)). There is a nice center where you can go out clubbing, visit a bar or eat a meal. And It´s very cheep. A beer is aproxemately 6-7 szloti which is about 15 Swedish "kronor". A bottle of vodka with some beverages to mix with (helrör) is about 65 szloti (about 160 kronor). So you could (if you want to) skip the pre party and go out early even if you´re a poor student:)
In a couple of weeks we will be going by bus to Kracow (4 hour trip) for two days. I think It´s like a sight-seeing-trip. But there will proberbly be some time to discover the pubs to:) This trip Is "for free", which means that we have allready payed for it with our crazy university fee:)
When I´m writing this I´ve got a soar throat. I caught a cold the day before yesturday and It´s not getting any better. So I´ve been staying in my room for three days now. This means that I haven´t been able to attend the physics yesturady and today. I think I will skip Polish today to. It sucks. But I can do some reading at home.....
